Early 20th century art
By Red Sonja in Object Recolors
Just a little something for you.... These are all art prints that my grandmothers owned. I'm presently on their houses and thought it just wouldn't be right without these.
The 3tile Jesus on the Mount of Olives is a recolor of maxis "Rainy Day Mainstreet" (base game)
The rest of the art prints are recolors of Kativip's LS painting. (base game compatible)
mesh is included
Enjoy!

Red's Quilts
By Red Sonja in Object Recolors
My favorite bedding for myself and my simmies is a good, old fashioned quilt. My newest passion in that regard is the Welsh Quilt- bright, bold colors....and they are all hand stitched! I can't afford one for myself right now, but, at least my sims can! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

The PLA Living Rooms
By Red Sonja in New Meshes
Good Morning, All! I received a request from Mission Mouse for this set. It has a bit of a history. Yolartut at Cradle of Darkness originally converted the set... chair and loveseat... however, used an IKEA sofa for the loveseat conversion. I do not have IKEA...so only the chair was usable in my game... bummer! Wawa at PBK re-did the conversion for me using a base game loveseat, and also did a mesh for the 3-tile sofa. He then gave it all back to me (slaving the loveseat and sofa to the chair as the master mesh) and told me to let the recoloring begin! So far, these are my best recolors, and I would love for you all to have them for your game... They just have that "comfortably worn" look

The Indiana Theater
My slideshow is here: http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/Lisa_McCalister/slideshow/The Indiana Theater
I worked at this historic theater part time while attending Indiana State University.... Although it is given freely to all, I had our friend, Gayars in mind. We were having a bit of a "remember the town where you grew up" session last week. This is my first installment of what I would call "uptown mainstreet"
enjoy!

The Courthouse Square
A common sight in New England and the Midwest is the Classic Revival style of courthouse. It fits easily into retro and contemporary neighborhoods. Instead of a civil war memorial.... I chose something a bit different. The cannons are naval deck guns that you might have seen prior to the Revolutionary War.... They were converted pirate cannons from TSM.....

welcome!
By Red Sonja in Dorm, Apartments, Vacation & Misc
Inspiration for this Art Nouveau Hotel is in Prague, Czech Republic. As it exists, the lot is in a "vanilla" mode. Although the hotel doors are in place, the residential trash can and mail box are still there so that if you want to make changes, you can. If you are happy with it, remove those and changeLotzoning to lodging, and you're good to go. For copious numbers of screen shots.... there is a slideshow here: http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/Lisa_McCalister/slideshow/Hotel Central
Credits to: Crisps&Kerosene, Kativip, Yolartut, CuriousB, dgandy, Raynuss, and to Wawa for helping me edit glitched meshes. All walls, floors and recolors are by myself.
Enjoy!

1930's WPA house
By Red Sonja in Residential
I am sorry for the long absence... Tons of different projects have me going in multiple directions.... In keeping with my current retro/these are the houses that mean the most to me theme.... This is the house I grew up in in Kentland, Indiana... My parents are still there, and will, hopefully, be there a long time. Enjoy!

The Brooks House
By Red Sonja in Residential
This house was built by my 3X great grandfather in the mid-19th century. It was home to 5 generations of my father's family. One of my fondest memories was sitting in the big bay window... watching the squirrels play in the walnut trees....

1920 Craftsman Bungalow
By Red Sonja in Residential
This is especially for Gayars and her retro hood..... It is move-in ready and a place near and dear to my heart. This little brick house is where my mother grew up in Westville, Illinois. Move-in ready. It was once 3 bedrooms but right before WW2, one bedroom was remodeled into a bathroom. It boasts having Raynuss' comfort system furnace and air conditioner where sims can either warm up or cool down.... WooHoo!
This little house was the realization of the American Dream for a 12 year old abandoned boy who came from Sicily when he was 12 and his wife whose parents had immigrated from Aggadovia in White Russia.
I truly hope that you enjoy it!
