If wishes had wings... I agree.

It is infuriating to observe the disdain that most hold for the job title of "Mother".... The majority of society holds no respect for those who are ..."Just a housewife"... or "Just a Mother".... Why is that? Is it because you don't need a degree or any special license? Is it because the perception is that you didn't have to "work" to achieve the status? I spent many years as a single, working Mom... and I felt cheated on a daily basis because I was not able to be with my babies on a 24/7 basis. I've seen women who were true superwomen and seemed to be able to do it all.... and I've seen those who were so negligent in child rearing that they didn't deserve the privilege of having children in their care... When all is said and done, I will count myself as a decent, successful human being if my children can honestly say that I was a good Mother.....

Dear Red, would you consider uploading CC in a separate file? I don't have enough of something or other to download all in one shot. I was expecting to get more of something but my son hasn't made up his mind yet. Your lots are extraordinary.

    Version - Sims 2

A common sight in New England and the Midwest is the Classic Revival style of courthouse. It fits easily into retro and contemporary neighborhoods. Instead of a civil war memorial.... I chose something a bit different. The cannons are naval deck guns that you might have seen prior to the Revolutionary War.... They were converted pirate cannons from TSM..... Enjoy!

A woman renewing her driver's license at the DMV was asked by the clerk to state her occupation. She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself. "What I mean is," explained the clerk, "do you have a job, or are you just a ...?" "Of course I have a job," snapped the woman. "I'm a mother." "We don't list 'Mother' as an occupation ... 'Housewife' covers it," said the clerk emphatically. I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself in the same situation, years later, at our local police station. The clerk was obviously a career woman, poised, efficient, and possessing a high-sounding title like, "official interrogator" or "town registrar." "What is your occupation?" she probed. What made me say it, I do not know. ... The words simply popped out. "I'm a research associate in the field of child development and human relations." The clerk paused, pen frozen in mid-air, and looked up as though she had not heard right. I repeated the title slowly, emphasizing the most significant words. Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire! "Might I ask," said the clerk with new interest, "just what you do in your field?" Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply, "I have a continuing program of research, in the laboratory and in the field. I'm working for my master's, and already have four credits. Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities, and I often work 14 hours a day. But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers and the rewards are much more satisfactory than just money." There was an increasing note of respect in the woman's voice as she completed the form, stood up, and personally ushered me to the door. When I got home, buoyed up by my glamorous new career, I was greeted by my lab assistants: ages 10, 7, and 3. Upstairs, I could hear our new experimental model, 6 months old, in the child-development program, testing out a new vocal pattern. I felt I had triumphed over bureaucracy! And I had gone on the official record as someone more distinguished and indispensable to mankind than "just another mother." Motherhood ... What a glorious career! Especially when there's a title on the door.

Oh you get cookies and milk after blood tests? Awesome!

All that I have left to do is the second deco pillow set I chose cause I like it. I have 2 Dr appointments this morning, my diet hasn't changed but my blood glucose is wonky. I also managed to get yet another infection when I thought it had already cleared up. So I am going to basically donate most of my blood for testing today. On the plus side, the second place I go for the blood tests, gives cookies and milk.

Well still working on it The size is a bit off for the poor little tyke. I may have to actually make two separate ones for the toddler and baby. Plus I have a few other issues to correct as well, but making headway

I'm not sure whether to laugh, cause it is funny; or cheer for the woman's powerful statement.

The mats are finished and I'm onto the SA99 deco pillow. I truly love this pillow but it's such a pain cause you have to make the pattern in SimPE, and then you also have to make a greyscale pattern in SimPE or the texture shows up as SA99's texture. It's double the work **GRR** I am also at the point of renting out Jake.....this habit he has of sleeping under the desk and then his fur lightly brushing against my leg is going to kill me. Seriously, I'm old, my heart just can't take the shock of thinking there is a spider on my leg. The jumping up, the screaming.....which of course means Jake wakes up and I've scared him and now he is the one who needs comforting. BUT it's all his fault to begin with!!

Yep, I get cookies and milk because I usually faint after the tests at the second place. The first one I have to fast for and I never have enough time between the 2 appointments to get a snack. I don't think any clinic in Canada has heard of band-aids, I never get one. Also...I did something wrong, not sure what, but the SA99 pillows I made are terrible. Back to the drawing board.

I figured out what I did wrong with the bed ruffle... I had to remake all my patterns, but at least now they are correct.

I finally found a mat pattern I can live with. I wanted to see what a complete set recoloured would look like. The single bed ruffle has a wee recolouring issue, and rgdyanne's deco bed pillows bleed a bit, but overall I am very pleased. SA99's deco pillow does not fit on a single bed but I actually prefer rgdyanne's deco pillow for the single bed. It was a real adventure deciding what images I wanted on SA99's deco pillow. I used some of my other images that I used on sofa pillows.

So the old ones past away one by one. So sad, but that is life - even in Sims Town. Your pictures are so great! I've never seen Death so close by. Thank you, Marbi

((((Aaawww)))) Your simmies' lives reveal all of the stuff that I have been missing. I do have a family that I hope that I can share, too.

Christy and Leo Stratton and their son David's wife Brittany are having lunch together. Later that evening Death comes to visit. It is a bit crowded in the bathroom when Christy dies. Leo gets so upset that they have to call the doctor to come and examin him. Next day it was time for Leo to have a visit from Death.
