The next afternoon after Michal's call, Robert informed his wife that he would not be going into the lab that evening. Seeing the fleeting look of joy cross Ella's face almost made him smile..but then he remembered the reason why he was taking a rare night off from his work..Maybe that was why what he said next came out much harsher than he had intended.. Please try to pull yourself together and maybe change into some proper attire for a change, Ella..and just so you know, our old friend Michal will be visiting this evening. Oh wow, Robert! Why didn't you say something earlier? It's been years since we've seen Michal! Has he returned from Paris just to visit or is he moving back? I hope he'll bring some new paintings with him!...But before Ella could say more, her husband put a hand up to halt her words and quell her excitement:Sitting down beside his wife on the sofa, Robert began to explain: I'm afraid this will not be a visit for pleasure, Ella. Michal is very ill. In fact you must keep yourself and Ophelia away from him at all costs! Do you understand me, Ella? Michal has asked for my help..I am unsure if I can help him, but it is imperative that you understand the severity of his illness..it can be er..quite contagious, and it is definitely terminal! Ella could not compose herself as she listened, heartbroken to what Robert was saying. She thought of her old childhood play mate, and college friend and couldn't imagine that such a horrible thing was happening to him. Later that evening, Michal came into the lab as requested by Robert. The door was left unlocked and Robert was brushing up on some important research about the rare condition. Ella was instructed to stay upstairs with Ophelia for the duration of their guest's visit...however long that may be. Robert was devising a plan and preparing his lab for his special patient when he heard a familiar voice greet him from behind. Startled, he stood up from his computer desk and swung around to face his friend. What he saw when he did so nearly stopped his heart! Though the lab was dimly lit, Robert could see the not so subtle changes in the young man's features. Once considered ruggedly handsome in the way that most people imagine a free spirited artiest living in Paris should be.. The figure who stood partially cloaked in darkness in front of Robert..was not his old buddy. And the fact that he slipped into the lab without making a sound chilled Robert to the bone. And then there were the eyes.. They seemed to glow in the dark much like those of a wild animal hunting for it's prey in the darkest of forests. Noticing Robert's uneasiness, and sensing the increase in the man's pulse, Michal quickly lowered his gaze so that his eyes did not reflect the light from the room. Even the slightest increase in Robert's blood pressure could be enough to bring out the darkness that dwelt within him..and then he would never find another chance to be saved. Just as he was about to calm his friend down with a joke, much like the way he always did back in school, Michal sensed someone else..and it was his pulse racing now! Just when Robert thought maybe he had made a grave mistake in allowing this man..this creature into his home..just when he was ready to send him away,.. he saw Ella approaching from behind Michal. She looked so lovely. His heart broke a little when he realized that she had not dressed for him, her husband..but she had come to see Michal..even though he had warned her! Michal?..Is that really you?

for the nice encouraging words ..I have most of the indoor areas done. I need to finish outdoor landscaping too. I will be running a sim through it to make sure it works. I'm taking more time with this one than I usually do. I remember creating a couple sims 3 lots before the seasons expansion came out and because I used lots of outdoor shrubs and flowers inside all those lots ended up having dormant or frozen /wet foliage inside the houses!

I downloaded a lot from The Sims 4 Community named 'Robert's Oath' by: Rhisk (Real name- Rhen). She and I got to chatting a bit when she commented that she was also a Christian...Since her lot had an interesting back story in the description, I decided to build on it and write it out! (She indicated that she would enjoy that). So here it is! CHAPTER ONE: ROBERT... Robert and Ella met in college. Although he was a science major and she was barely passing her classes, they were drawn to one another the way that opposites sometimes will. Shortly after college the two married and Ella gave birth to Ophelia! While Robert excelled at his career in the science field, working from home much of the time; spending more and more time in the lab that he had custom built in the basement of the cozy little house. Their daughter was the center of life for the lonely Ella. Ella kept herself busy with Ophelia, but Robert began to notice some odd behavior in his young wife as of late..that is, when he bothered to notice her at all. Although she took excellent care of their child, he would often find her talking to herself and acting strangely. One time he even caught her clenching her fists and shouting at the wall! Out of concern for his wife as well as the need for him to be able to concentrate fully on his research downstairs without worrying about his child's safety..Robert ordered an experimental medication from a colleague at work. He began slipping the pills into Ella's coffee in the mornings. Soon the house was once again peaceful as Ophelia went off to school and Ella settled into a quiet routine of cooking and cleaning and napping much of the day. He seldom seen her as she stopped visiting him in the lab. Without distractions during the day, Robert worked tirelessly on his research and he would leave the house each evening to work in the lab at the science institute. Indeed, Robert barely slept, napping here and there throughout the day. His mood becoming even darker as he delved deeper and deeper into his research. "I know your very busy, but... "Please, Daddy..would you come play with me outside for awhile?" Although he loved his family in his own way, the domestic life was more Ella's thing, and Robert did not feel guilty about not spending time with her and Ophelia. His passion was science.. Ella knew that when they met. Besides, he knew she was happy to stay home with their daughter. In fact, she was trying to talk Robert into having more kids soon. He did not have to tell her that he didn't want any more kids, because with the pills that he was giving her she would not be able to conceive anyway. This peaceful existence was proving to be quite productive as Robert had managed to publish a paper in SimScience Magazine regarding a breakthrough he made in the field of science and medicine..specifically concerning the new epidemic that some people referred to as the Vampire Fever, or Sanguinary Syndrome. But Robert's peace would soon be shattered when he received an urgent call from an old friend from their college days. CHAPTER TWO: ELLA Ella was born into a middle-class, all-American family. The only child of a faithful minister and his sweet wife whom everyone in the neighborhood seemed to call "Mom". Ella and her parents had a close relationship until after college when Ella introduced Robert to her little family. Despite all efforts made by her mom and dad to make Robert feel like one of the family, Robert just seemed determined to belittle and offend them and their faith at every turn. Ella still regrets the decision she made to follow him out of the house that hot August day..The last time she seen her parents in all these years. Except the day when Ophelia was born and the aging couple snuck into the hospital to see their new grandchild. Though she's had to live with the regret of choosing Robert over her family, Ella doesn't regret the little girl whom she brought into the world and promised to give her everything she would need..and that included a home with a father in it! So she stayed. Even when she found out about the 'other woman' that Robert was spending his nights with at the lab..she stayed..for Ophelia. When Ella confronted him about the affair, Robert used his prestige and position in the community to threaten her, saying she would never see their daughter again if she left. She believed him. She knew better than to doubt what he said was true. She had nothing to fight back with..she had nothing except Ophelia..For her she would sacrifice her own life, for Ophelia, she would do anything! So she stayed, Even when it felt as though her sanity was unraveling sometimes, she stayed..she didn't fight back..she couldn't. CHAPTER THREE: MICHAL Michal grew up in the same small town as Ella. His parents were both members of Ella's dad's church. He loved Ella's parents but after his own father's death, Michal began to doubt his faith, and despite the church's kindness shown to he and his mother, he just could not make his peace with God. When he entered college the year following his dad's death, he was delighted to see Ella there. She was taking some of his fine art classes. Even though they had been childhood friends, he always regretted not telling her how he really felt about her as the years went by and they both grew into adulthood. Then when he realized that his good friend, Robert showed romantic interest in Ella..Well, how stupid could Michal have been to actually be the "good guy" and introduce them! Now seven years later here he is needing to call his old college buddy to ask for his help. But, regardless of what he has become, Michal realizes that he is looking forward to seeing Ella again. If only it were under better circumstances. If only he had listened to Ella's father all those years ago! if only.. Now he had become the monster that he was warned about..A creature that thirsted after human blood, a demon-possessed madman when the thirst hit, but his heart grew heavier and heavier with each kill. Could there still be redemption for him after all he had done? Michal doubted it. At first when it happened, he resisted with everything he had! He thought of his mother's loving heart, and encouraging nature..Would she understand him now? More likely the knowledge of his ..condition would kill her. And when he thought of his loving father whom he knew must be in his God's heaven now..what would he say to his son if he were still here? Certainly Michal had many demons to fight against..both within and outside of himself! All he could do was hope that Robert could help cure him, and soon..before he killed again! So that's the beginning of our story, Folks..Please try to ignore the grammatical errors.. I want to continue this story line, and I can't when I'm always trying to second guess my grammar, lol! I will try to submit some more soon after Jeff's vacation from work this week. Hope you have enjoyed it so far! Again credit to Rhen for her lovely family and home lot!

Oh, don't ruin your pretty nails, Marbi! @MM- Thank you so much..I really feel inspired from Nonni lately for some reason. I remember her saying how she used to think up stories when she was a child to help deal with life, and she did encourage me to write back when I was going through cancer stuff..I am also feeling so grateful that at this time I not only have a decent computer, but also someone locally who can fix it at an affordable rate if needed! That was such a relief to find them..because there is nothing that can stop those creative juices flowing than for a computer to go all wonky!
