    Nonni's Last Upload

    Version - Sims 2

This is Abbii, a sim that Nonni had sent to me around a week or two before she died for testing. She was planning on uploading her soon. She is and always will be Affinity's very own Angel in Heaven. Gina (gayars)

    The Courthouse Square

Dear Red, would you consider uploading CC in a separate file? I don't have enough of something or other to download all in one shot. I was expecting to get more of something but my son hasn't made up his mind yet. Your lots are extraordinary.
  6. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 Some years ago, we had a crusade in Santa Barbara. When the invitation was given, a 90-year-old man walked forward at the urging of his grandchild. His wife had died a few years before. She was a Christian and had prayed for him throughout her life. On her deathbed, she pleaded with her husband to give his life to Jesus Christ. She wanted her husband to know the love and peace she had experienced. But he turned her down. So there he was at a Harvest Crusade. The service was coming to a close, and as I gave the invitation, his granddaughter said, "Grandpa, do you want to go forward? He responded, "No!" "Come on, Grandpa," she said. He told her, "It is cold down there. I don't want to go down there." She said, "No, grandpa, I think you will like what you find when you get down there." The 90-year-old grandfather asked, "What do you think I am going to find down there?" She replied, "You are going to find love and peace and life." So he went forward. He prayed the prayer and asked Christ to come into his life. He said afterward, "Now I know what my wife was talking about. Now I know that I am going to see her again!" Don't ever write anyone off. God can still reach them. Keep praying for them!

    The Death of Progress

But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way. 1 Corinthians 11:31 It has been said that self-satisfaction is the death of progress. Any Christian who really knows what it is to follow Jesus always will realize there is a long way to go. We want to keep moving forward spiritually. We have to keep growing and learning. And if we want to see a revival, then we need to humble ourselves and pray. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God says, "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land." Of the twelve Hebrew words employed in the Scriptures to express the verb pray, the one used here in 2 Chronicles 7:14 means "to judge self habitually." We are so quick to judge and criticize others habitually when the Bible says we actually should be judging ourselves. Simply put, to judge ourselves means that we recognize we have a long way to go. Are you satisfied with where you are spiritually? After years of walking with the Lord, the apostle Paul said this: I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (Philippians 3:12–14) If we were to spend less time criticizing others and spend more time examining ourselves, then maybe we would experience a revival.

    Revival in Our Time?

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11 I can remember situations in my life where things were looking rather bleak. But then I called on the name of the Lord, and He intervened. Here in our nation, things are looking rather bleak. But God says, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). God is saying, in effect, "Check this out. Call on Me, and watch what I will do. Pray right now. Follow My prescription for revival. Watch how I will intervene." It is God's desire to bless us. And did you know that God wants to bless us even more than we want to be blessed? Psalm 84:11 tells us, "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." Often the reason we pray is because we have a need—we have a crisis. We need a healing . . . we need direction . . . we need financial provision. We pray because we are in trouble. It is not as though God simply gives us everything we have ever wanted and our lives are free of problems or conflicts. Rather, God will allow conflict in our lives so we will see our own weakness and then see the greatness of God as we depend on Him. I don't believe the ultimate need of our nation will be solved by a new occupant in the White House or by new members of Congress. I believe the real need for America will be met by a spiritual solution. Therefore, we need to pray.
