Ugh...there are so many outfits I want to do but they are not in-game ones. So does anyone object if I upload the ones I've been working on with a link to the mesh?

There are so many pretty outfits I have seen and so many that are not so scanty. It's my age again, I just don't care for mini skirts on the adults and elder women. That is not a negative comment directed at ANY creator, it is merely a reflection of MY personal tastes. In my teens and early 20's I most certainly did wear mini skirts. I even wore a bikini, although only twice because it made me too self-conscious. So most of the CC items I will upload will be on the modest end.

There's nothing wrong with having a modest taste in clothing..I worry that many young girls look at the scanty outfits whether in game or in real life and then when they try to wear them and don't look like the pictures, they will have a low body image..Most if not all of those outfits do not work for the majority of real life people..and the pressure to wear them any way results in discomfort and sometimes moral danger..I was a teen in the eighties and although we had the tight and skimpy outfits, we also had a choice to dress more in the 'Valley girl' style with the high neck victorian style blouses and the longer ruffled skirts usually paired with some boots! That was my style until I moved to a bigger city and my older sister insisted I wear what the city kids were wearing..(what they call skinny jeans nowadays, with high heels and layered t-shirts (like flashdance)...I noticed with the change in clothing style came a tougher attitude which got me in trouble a lot! I went from geeky princess to tough class clown/party girl. It was not my most shining time in life! Thank God I came to my senses, got married after high school and got busy with my little family and some odd jobs here and there etc..real life stuff.

The pretty modest clothing you make is such a breath of fresh air..I just love them!

I often come across clothing that makes me go  :confused22:

In Sims4 with the Seasons game is a lovely sweater dress. Upon closer inspection there is a *button* used as a decorative type brooch or pin or whatever they classify it as. Yeah, I accessorize my outfits by pinning a button on them----said NO woman ever!

After a lot of tweaks I came up with a *real* piece of jewelry.....

Thank you Alet. I'm still working away on getting all the recolours finished. It's been a bit trying for me because I've injured my back again and it's not responding to the medication to take down the swelling like it has in the past. Jake has decided that in our bed, he should be the one using the heating pad. We are currently in negotiations but due to his non-compliance, those negotiations are at a stale-mate. I don't know who promoted him the the *Boss*.  (I suspect Dave)

I believe he has been using the "I am The Boss" mind-control technique while you are asleep. I think it's a little dog thing though, cause Oliver does it too! I never realized that a little dog could take up so much space in bed! (Emma wasn't as much of a cuddler)

That long sweater/dress is my favorite. I love your brooch!

:ROLF: *mind control technique*  That is the best ever explanation!! In my case I suspect he uses it whilst I am also awake. :ROLF:

I have so many more things to make in S4S, and I've also made over 100 new patterns for the games. I'm most definitely not the brightest light because I just discovered a faster way of making my patterns.  :insane:

Some days are better than others. I recoloured this oversized sweater that I like and then after making them all in Sims4Studio almost croaked. Tossed them all. When I loaded them into the game they were just atrocious. Sometimes my knit patterns look fabulous on clothing, but this was definitely not one of those times. :cleaningicon:

The upside is that I now know what patterns will look good.

Thanks to Rebecah I now know how to make my recolours show up as 1 item with selectable colours. What a huge improvement over every outfit showing up individually. I also discovered that when doing unisex clothing you have to select the female catalogue picture and save and then do the same for the male catalogue picture. It's been a bit of a learning curve for me but I think I have things figured out now.

I also have quite a few Sims2 outfits to finish up in bodyshop so I expect to be fairly busy for the next couple of months with uploads. Michael gave me a thumb-drive so he gets the stuff before anyone else.  Kinda makes him my guinea pig. :slapLaugh:

I'm so happy you seem to be excited to have this new knowledge.  I can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

GAH!! I found two lovely outfits but the size is not 1024 X 2048.  NO!. For reasons I do not understand the size is 2048 X 4096....

The another one I absolutely love shows up great in the game, but not in S4S. I even messaged the creator because some did some recolours and I can't figure out how they managed to do that, when I can't get it to show up to recolour at all. So far, no response.

Then there are the creations I just HAVE  to have, hidden behind ad.fly. I can get around that but it's frustrating. I hate when creators use ad.fly and then also have this box come up that claims you have to *whitelist* their site in order to continue on to get the download.  :ROLF: I figured out a way around that annoyance too. However that might make it difficult for someone else to figure out, so if it is, I'm going to let them PM me for the mesh. No one should have to *whitelist* ANY Sims creation site. That can open up your computer to malicious software and damaging viruses. To me, doing that is downright nasty.

I do have some stuff that is finished and as soon as this cold lessens it's grip I'll be uploading them. It's just that this constant sneezing and coughing is making an awful mess on my screen. I know...TMI  :slapLaugh:

If you send me the links I will take a look at them.  I don't understand why someone would use those darn ad fly links either.

They use Ad.Fly because it pays them for the advertising but a lot of times the advertising is filled with malicious stuff. It's just a way to profit from creating stuff for the game. I'll send you the three files I have in a PM.

Michael has a friend that creates for Sims4. At some point he's agreed to come here and teach me how to mesh clothing. Mostly I just want to learn so the in-game outfits I like, but are too short for my taste, I can lengthen. BUT if I do get good at it and I do make my own original stuff, the one thing I will NOT do, is deny permission to include the mesh.

The other thing I've come across is absolutely beautiful cardigans, BUT they are in the *accessory* category. That makes little sense to me, although I think I know why.....you can't put 2 tops on top of each other so this is a way to get around that. Still not sure if I want to recolour those.

I looked at all of the files and I don't understand how you recolor them as I can not find any of them in S4Studio. None of them show up as custom items in S4Studio.  Maybe I just don't understand how to do it.

I tried to find tou's for these people and could not find any.  I did find that 2 of them are on Sim File Share.  So those wouldn't be so bad to recolor since Sims File Share says they won't remove any files.  The main issue with not including a mesh is so many sites just disappear then one's recolors are of no use.

You can make the texture the size you want it and just import it.  I tried it to be sure it worked. I changed one to 512x1024.  The larger images are actually hard on your game.

I have not been able to understand how to use blender.  I'd love to be able to make some of the dresses longer.

I had to put the sondescent.falldress  in my s4s/mods folder by itself to get it to show up in s4s.  I didn't realize the mesh files had to be put in that folder to show up.
